How do I change my Google Chrome autofill settings and credit cards?
Google Chrome autofill stores and automatically fills in address, contact information, and credit card information in website forms including shopping carts. It also saves payment information for later use.
You can save time when shopping online by allowing the Chrome web browser to fill out forms automatically with saved data, like your address, email, or credit cards, or other payment information. When you must fill out information into a new form online, Chrome will prompt you to save the information. If it is a new address, Chrome will ask you to add or update your data. Credit card information is protected with the use of CVV, security, codes.
You may want to change your payment information when a credit card expires or is no longer the one you wish to use anymore. This can make online shopping faster and easier. You may also want to remove the autofill cred cards or stop chrome from saving autofill information altogether. If you are the only one using your electronic devices, then this might not be as much of a cyber security risk for you. However, if you share your laptop, tablet, phone or other electronic devices with someone else, then you might want to consider changing your autofill settings and stop chrome from any saving payment information.
If you are shopping on a public computer (you should NOT be doing this!) then you definitely don’t want Chrome saving any autofill data about you ever.
Managing Chrome autofill credit cards can be accomplished across devices. You can edit or remove your credit card information from Chrome Autofill by going to the browser settings when you are logged into Chrome. This will change your preferences on other instances of the browser as long as you are logged in there across all devices.
