The successful job candidate will work to ensure corporate cyber security compliance. The candidate will be responsible for conducting vulnerability and compliance inspections to include, but not limited to scanning the network to identify active devices, fingerprint application and operating systems, identifying vulnerabilities, analyzing the results, manually verifying findings to eliminate false positives or negatives, capturing artifacts, and provide routine status reports.
Cyber Security Analyst Job Description
- Monitor, identify, and analyze security risks
- Assess validity and capability of risks and triage based on solid prioritization skills
- Analyze data to provide threat/risk context for stakeholders
- Research, quantify, categorize, and communicate risks associated with cyber related and information security threats
- Disseminate 3rd party vendor products to stakeholders
- Maintain and update related policies and procedures
- Coordinate and document testing processes
- Maintain, perform and update cyber security and IT risk assessment processes and reporting
- Communicate with diverse groups of individuals at all levels of the company
Cyber Security Analyst Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is desired
- Three to seven years equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- Three to five years of experience in an information security role including experience in performing information security risk assessments
- Understanding of Data Security Standards and information security frameworks
- In-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer, and network security, authentication
- In-depth understanding of network and system security technology
- Experience creating and updating cyber security policies and risk assessments
- Experience managing, documenting and disaster recovery plans
