What Threat And Vulnerability Management (TVM) Does…
TVM plays a vital role in ensuring protection of client data and the Firm’s sensitive information as it is responsible for computer intrusion network monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and insider threat detection. The team also coordinates assessments and vulnerability testing, security tools configuration, and management and provides thought leadership for department security projects as well as broader firm efforts.
What You’ll Do…
- Actively mentor and train other associates in their area of expertise.
- Provide direction as to the effective use of technology within the enterprise architecture.
- Provide leadership related to technical aspects of tools, methodologies, best practices and processes and standards that apply to their technical area of expertise.
- Research technical improvements and takes the initiative to communicate and implement solutions.
- Participates and represents area in cross-functional groups.
- Communicates issues and problem resolutions with all affected stakeholders, business areas and vendors.
- Researches requirements to determine system feasibility, costs, benefits, or functional requirements.
- Ensure prudent use of the firm’s financial resources.
- Plan and maintain currency of security systems leveraged by TVM to ensure environment supports protection of client data and the Firm’s sensitive information.
- Establish and maintain appropriate enterprise security policies, standards, recommended practices, procedures, and controls.
- Design and review moderate to high complexity security processes and controls to assist management in the protection of Information System resources and associated assets against accidental or unauthorized access, modification, destruction, or disclosure.
- Ensure compliance to published Information Security policies and standards.
- Identify threats posed to Edward Jones information systems and clients and facilitate remediation of these threats or vulnerabilities.
- Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across departments, business areas and vendors.
- Perform liaison at outside conferences, events, and companies.
- Provide security services that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure monitoring is appropriate and effective for detecting and reporting of key security events.
- Actively participate in security related continuing education.
- Provide security input into medium to high complexity development efforts that may impact security.

Skills-Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Cybersecurity Management or related work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience directly related to technical area of expertise.
- Considered a subject matter expert in an I.S. discipline (business solutions, systems development, infrastructure area, planning, security) and have experience across multiple platforms in an area or multiple technologies in a layer (network, computing, operating systems, data, application infrastructure, appliances, business solutions, security, systems management);
- Ability to develop system designs within area of expertise.
- Ability to perform analysis of system requirements to determine feasibility, costs, benefits.
- Demonstrates the ability to provide strategic direction and technical leadership to align objectives with the overall Firm strategy
- Able to create a strong team environment and build technical skills through training and mentoring of others.
- Ability to influence Team Leaders, Project Leaders and/or associates in a matrix organization.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships across departments, business areas, and vendors.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Ability to multi-task and participate in multiple large and complex efforts or projects.
