
Swarmshop Hacker Marketplace Leaks Stolen Data Cards, Government ID Numbers

Swarmshop dark web marketplace is the target of a breach that has exposed some of its stolen data. The leaked data includes payment card numbers from banks in nine countries, US Social Security numbers, as well as Canadian Social Insurance numbers.
Swarmshop has 623,036 stolen payment card numbers posted for sale. Government ID numbers were also exposed.
The stolen payment cards were posted on Swarmshop but leaked to another online forum.
The tranche of that exposed stolen financial data and sensitive personal information also includes almost 500 bank accounts, 68,995 US Social Security numbers, and 597 Canadian Social Insurance numbers.
Swarmshop has been selling stolen data in its dark web marketplace since about 2019.

More than 600,000 payment cards were leaked and issued by banks mostly in the US, but also from eight other countries.

The exposed data was found online by cyber security researchers at Group-IB.

The data breach also includes records information for:
- Four shop admins
- 90 stolen data sellers
- 12,250 buyers of stolen data,
