How to Change Your Google Play Password

How to Change Your Google Play Password

Google Play is the Android version of the ITunes store. With Google Play users can download free apps as well as those that cost money to access. There are many free apps such as Facebook, Firefox browser, banking apps, and thousands more. Paid apps include those with a flat fee to download. There are others that require a monthly subscription fee to use, like fitness apps. Google App store users can also make in-app purchases. If you have Google payment information saved to your Google account, you might end up with accidental charges. Add a layer of security by setting up a Google Play password. If you have shred your password information with someone, you may also change your Google Play password.

If you suspect your Google Play account has been compromised or if you have logged into it while traveling or while using public WiFi, then it is suggested that you change your Google Play password. Really, you should change this password and all others on a regular basis to help prevent unwanted use or theft.

To prevent accidental or other unauthorized purchases on Google Play, users can set up a password all purchases, including in-app purchases. This must be done on each device used for the account. This is especially important if you allow your children to use your smartphone of tablet or other device for kid-friendly apps. They may pay for something on accident. Setting up a Google Play password can prevent this. You can always change or reset your Google Account password. Users can also set up a family payment method on Google Play.
