
Use the Steam Website to Reset or Recover Your Steam Password
If you do not have the Steam web application downloaded on your device, you can easily use your browser to reset your password.
Reset Steam Password Using a Web Browser Login

Reset Steam Password Through Your Browser
- Log into Your Steam Account in any Web Browser
Using a web browser like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge -go to https://store.steampowered.com/login/
- Log into Steam if You Can
If you are simply changing your password and remember the current password, log into Steam
- Find Your Username in the Upper Right Corner of the Steam Window
In the top navigation bar, find your username in the upper-right section of your screen.
- Click on Your Steam Username
Click or tap your username to drop down another menu
- Select Account Details Menu Option
After you select the Account details menu option you’ll see the ‘Account details’ menu option on the right sidebar. You will be on your Steam account page.
- Scroll Down to Account Security
On your account page, scroll down to the third section called “Account Security”
- Select “Change my password”
- Choose a Method to Reset Your Steam Password
Steam will prompt you to choose a method to use for the password reset. Choose to use email account verification. Steam will send an email verification code to the email connected to your account.
- Steam Password Reset – Lost Access to Email
If you don’t have access to the email account connected to your Steam then select “I no longer have access to this email.” (see image above)
- Enter your account’s password
Enter your current Steam password if you know it, If you cannot remember your Steam Password then choose “I forgot my password.”
- Follow the Steps to Verify Ownership
Steam will prompt you to verify account ownership another way. In my case, I had to log into my payment method
